Locally owned 1955 Mercury Montclair
2 door hardtop. This is a survivor car that has been garaged
for the last five years. The Montclair is the top of the line
model in 1955 with all the extra chrome.

This is a good looking good running
Mercury with V8 engine, and automatic transmission. It could
use a paint job and the bumpers are tarnished. This is a good
driver quality vehicle that is very original. This Mercury
has the optional fender skirts. The wheel covers are factory
original.

The interior is good. The seats are
driver quality with one two inch hole showing on the right passenger
side. The headliner is excellent for its age. The dash is good,
and the carpet has been replaced. It has the factory AM radio. |

The bumpers need re chromed if you
want a show car. Two years ago the front end was rebuilt
by a professional alignment shop. It has clear glass as
most vehicles from that era. The windows roll up and down
easy. The Oklahoma tag and title are current.

It has good dual exhaust.
The trunk is spacious. SEE IN LOWER PICTURES. Two years ago
the automatic transmission was rebuilt and the car shifts nice
and firm. It has like new 215 X 70 X 15 white wall tires. |

is a 312 engine with a four-barrel carburetor that is original
to the car. It has the oil bath air cleaner, and original exhaust
manifolds. New battery and starts easy. The motor does not smoke
or have lifter noise. This is an outstanding Mercury.
