1971 Cougar

| This
is a nice driver quality Cougar XR 7. It is well equipped with
air conditioning, power steering, and disc brakes. This car
was sold by Mercury to compete with the Mustang. The collectors
consider the Cougar to be an upgrade to the Mustang.

This Cougar is a local car that we
sold fifteen years ago. It has been maintained and always
garaged. It has like new Firestone Fire Hawk matching white
letter tires with mag wheels. It has the extra accessories
chrome fender lip moldings.

|
The dash is nice with no cracks. It has a wood grain steering
wheel. The radio is an after market with a CD player, and rear
speakers. It has a console, and the factory seats. The seat
backs, and the rear seat above the rear shelf are showing wear,
and need replacing. The door panels show a little wear with
small cracks. |

| The
front bumper and grill are in good condition. All glass is
good. The car drives great and the transmission shifts good.

The rear bumper is showing a little
pitting, but is quite presentable. The tail lights are full
length and sequential. The underneath is clean. The single exhaust
is good with a new muffler. The factory vinyl top is in good
condition with no rusting. |

The engine is a 351 Cleveland with
a two-barrel carburetor. It runs exceptionally well. It has
working air conditioning, and a new battery. The Cougar compared
to a Mustang is about half price. The XR 7 is the top of the
line Cougar and reflects a $4,000.00 increase over the standard
model.
